Born and studied Kashmir, presently living in Delhi.
Performance artist since last 25 odd years. Performed in India, Kashmir, Europe, Japan, China. Writes Poems in English and Kashmiri.
Participated in performance festival 2008 by Khoj.
Initiated a series of workshops in India during Sarai fellowship in 1997 and with IFA fellowship in 2013 Created Harkat series of Performance art at Sarai basement in 2011.
Mentorship: City-as-studio programme by Raqs Media Collective. 2012 participated in SaraiReader at Devi Foundation of Art Gurgaon.
In collaboration with Silke Kaestner – Kashmir Point Charlie as exchange programme between artists from Berlin and Kashmir in 2011.
Initiated Art Karavan International2010 – a travelling group of 30 odd artists from all over world for three months through 9 cities od North India.
Participated in SACRED:homeland festival of Performance art in London 2016.
Theory Opera- Shanghai Biennale 2017.

2. Book of Poems on Kashmir and elsewhere.
2022. Hangzhou triennial.
Visiting faculty at Ambedkar University Delhi, National School of Drama. Conducted workshops a various colleges and universities in India.
